January 2018: The DKRZ long-term archive has assigned its 1000th DOI The DKRZ long-term archive WDCC (World Data Center for Climate) has assigned its 1000th DataCite DOI doi:10.1594/WDCC/OceanRAIN-M to the experiment OceanRAIN-M in the project ‘Ocean Rainfall And Ice-phase precipitation measurement Network’. This dataset provides in-situ along-track shipboard data of precipitation, evaporation and the resulting freshwater flux in 1-min resolution over the global oceans.
Published Data at WDCC is granted permanent access by the assigned unique persistent identifier DOI. Quality Assurance of data and metadata plays an important role in the data publication process at WDCC, which is crucial for data re-use. DataCite DOI data is formally citable in scientific paper publications along with literature citations and can be entered in the data creator's list of scientific publications. First CMIP5 data available Data from CMIP5 that has got already an DOI is now available in CERA. Have a look at http://cera-www.dkrz.de/WDCC/CMIP5/CeraData.jsp for a listing of experiments. This list is still growing as quality checking for CMIP5 ist still underway.
Stalled downloads A few users noticed stalled downloads using jblob. If you do so, please include parameter -useproxy when calling jblob. Please have a look at http://cera-www.dkrz.de/CERA/jblob/jblob.html for further documentation.
Since Dec. 2008/Jan.2009 all registered users of REMO-UBA data have now additionally access to the Data Stream3 which have been processed by Service Group Adaptation. Data Stream3 contain nearly all variables of REMO-UBA output interpolated or transformed on a regular, geographical grid. All variables are available on hourly, daily, monthly and yearly base. In addition some climate indices have been calculated.
