DAMOCLES2007_calib_buoy: position, temperature and pressure data of 16 autonomous drifting ice buoys
This dataset contains data collected by 16 drifting autonoumous ice buoys (Metocean CALIB) during the 'Hamburg Arctic Buoy Drift Experiment DAMOCLES 2007-2008' (internally called DAMOCLES2007). The buoys were deployed in a quadratic array with 400 kilometres side length in the Siberian sector of the Central Arctic Ocean in April 2007. While drifting towards Fram Strait the buoys delivered at approximately 1-hourly time intervalls position, sea level pressure and temperature for several months with the last buoy transmitting until January 2008.
Arctic Ocean: Longitude 0 to 360
Latitude 70 to 90
Altitude: 0 m relativ to sea level

Data have been quality checked. Obviously wrong measurements have been sorted out. For details on sensor type, sensor accuracy, launching procedure, ground check etc. see 'additional_info' entry (DAMOCLES2007_calib_buoy_info).
Data acquisition is completed.
Measured values have been interpolated to hourly timesteps. Data gaps are marked by missing values.
