BASIS2001_ibeacon_buoy: position, temperature, pressure and wind data of 2 autonomous buoys
Summary
This dataset contains data collected by 2 autonomous buoys (METOCEAN Ice Beacon) in the 'Baltic Air Sea Ice Study - BASIS 2001'. The buoys were deployed stationary at land near Kuivaniemi (65.55°N, 25.12°E) and Haparanda (65.77°N, 23.90°E) at the Bay of Bothnia. The devices report atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction. The buoys operated from 14 to 22 February 2001.

Data has been quality checked. Obviously wrong measurements have been sorted out. For details on sensor type, sensor accuracy, launching procedure, ground check etc. see 'additional_info' entry (BASIS2001_ibeacon_buoy_info).
Completeness report
Data acquisition is completed.
Consistency report
Measured values have been interpolated to hourly timesteps. Data gaps are marked by missing values. Wind direction is not available for all buoys.
