BFG REMO-Simulations on 10km horizontal resolution

Acronym
BFG-REMO
Name
BFG REMO-Simulations on 10km horizontal resolution
Description
A high resolution (0.088 deg., ~10 km) climate simulation has been performed for Germany, Austria and Switzerland using the regional climate model REMO by the German Federal Institute of Hydrology and the Max-Planck Institute for Meteorology. The simulation is driven by results of the coupled ocean atmosphere model ECHAM5-MPIOM and greenhouse gas forcings for a control period (C20, 1951-2000, run 2) and a future scenario (SRES-A1B, 2001-2100, run 2).

The data are intended to be used together with data from earlier simulations which use a different run of ECHAM5-MPIOM, but share the same experimental design (cf. UBA-REMO Project at CERA). Constant fields see UBA-REMO Project at CERA.

The maximum temporal resolution of the data ranges from hourly to six hourly depending on the variable. More details about the REMO data can be found in the document "Hinweise fuer REMO - Datennutzer" ( https://www.dkrz.de/mms/pdf/klimadaten/vortraege/REMO-UBA-Hinweise-1.pdf ).
